                  Our  tennis program  provides a fun and friendly environment for our members to play tennis and socialize.  
                  Our staff, both on and off the court, work as a team to match you with compatible opponents and partners in
                  leagues organized  by the club, filling out groups for the season, or in finding a game on an open court. 
 Our
                  tennis  instruction program aims to improve  players'  skills to the next level through positive and supportive
                  reinforcement.  All  our teaching pros have been certified by the USPTR or USPTA.
 
 

Tennis Program Guide - Winter 2012
Adult Tennis Leagues 
MRSC has  in-house men’s and women’s doubles and singles leagues for members.   

Season & Open Court Time Members may also form their own groups and reserve season courts at the same time each week.   Members may also reserve open court time up to a week in advance.  

 USTA Program
The USTA Program offers competitive tennis players the opportunity to improve their game.    MRSC has  3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 women’s teams; a 3.5 men’s team and a 7.0 mixed team, who compete in USTA League Tennis with possible advancement to district, sectional and national championships.

Adult Clinics
Adult Clinics combine instructions, drills and supervised play in a 1 ½ hour period with a tennis professional on each court.  Clinics provide the basic fundamentals to establish a good tennis game that will last a lifetime.         

Get in the Game & In the Game Clinics
Used to play tennis?  We offer a six-week, affordable clinic for both new and former players who have been out of the game for a while.  The clinic covers basic strokes and strategy of the game.  Both men and women are welcome.   After two sessions, players who wish to continue learning the game may advance to a 9 week In the Game clinic focusing on stroke improvement and doubles strategy.

Cardio Tennis 
Cardio Tennis is a group exercise class that combines  tennis  with fast-paced drills that keep players heart rates up.  It is a form of interval training with short bursts of high-intensity exercise interspersed with very short periods of rest.

Tennis Instruction
We offer private or  semi-private (2 person)  lessons  to those wishing more individual instruction. 

You may join us for outdoor tennis as part of your summer swim & tennis membership, for indoor tennis only, or year-round tennis including paddle tennis.  Please click for  membership information.
