Swim Fit & Swim Strong

Whether you are learning to swim for the first time, tuning up your swim stroke to become an efficient lap swimmer or gearing up for a triathlon, MRSC adult swim instructors will provide you with the tools to be a successful swimmer.

Instruction & Fitness in the Water

Madison Racquet & Swim Club provides open swimming lanes for adult swimmers seven days a week. Please check the Pool Lane schedule regularly as open swim times can vary.

Private and semi-private lessons are also available for swimmers of all abilities.

Water is the perfect medium for increasing strength, flexibility, muscle tone and endurance, and MRSC water fitness classes are perfect for all fitness levels and all ages. Whether you are getting back in shape or cross training, water fitness is gentle on your joints.

Aqua Fitness Classes 

The Madison Racquet & Swim club offers classes, instruction, and training programs for those who want to take advantage of the low-impact workouts the pool offers, to swim masters and triathletes looking to improve their performance through training.

Masters Swim Clinic

This clinic works on stroke technique, improving endurance and speed in the water. Suitable for all levels of adult swimmers looking to improve or begin lap swimming.



 Aqua Water Fitness

A fun and exciting class designed for active older adults, increasing muscle strength, flexibility and range of motion through water exercise. The focus of this class is on building core control. Participants do not need swimming skills.  All levels and ages welcome.

Private & Semi-Private

Private & semi-private swim lessons are available for swimmers of all abilities. Great for beginners looking to build comfort in the water or advanced swimmers who want to tune up their technique.



MRSC Swimming

Fun, confident and fit in the water, MRSC can turn your arms into fins.


Pool Schedule

Lap Lanes 

Lap Lanes are for 45-minute sessions.  Maximum one person per lap lane and one lane reservation per day.

Family-Swim Blocks

Sections of the pool blocked off for free-swim for up to 8 people.  They are 45-minute reservations.

View our schedule to see when lap lanes and free-swim blocks are available. Reservations are required during the Covid-19 pandemic due to capacity restrictions. You may reserve online or by calling the front desk at (203) 245-9444 up to 7 days in advance for members and 5 days for non-members. Reservations are not accepted prior to that. Scheduling is subject to change based on capacity and regulations.
