From Memorial Day to Labor Day
MRSC members enjoy the outdoor club experience.
Summer time at MRSC is filled with outdoor fun for the whole family! MRSC Summer Mad Kids Club keeps little ones busy during the morning hours; adults enjoy competitive tennis through interclub and USTA matches; teens and tweens practice and compete on the MADMarlin’s Swim Team and MAD Rackets tennis teams; families enjoy the weekly special events and of course, there is lots of time for relaxing by the pool and enjoying the warm summer sun. We have added two new programs for kids: Summer Serve & Splash Club for 8-14-year olds in the afternoon. and Summer Mad Lunch club in the middle of the day.
Our very popular Summer Mad Kids Club is the perfect combination of fun and learning for your young child, from 4-to-9 years old. Our tennis lessons focus on developing basic skills though the USTA’s Quick Start format using smaller courts and racquets and lower pressure balls designed for each level. For swim instruction, children are divided according to swimming ability for their daily swim lessons in MRSC’s heated pool. Many of our instructors have years of competitive swimming and prior experience teaching young swimmers. Arts & Crafts time allow kids the opportunity to use their imaginations as they create fun art projects.
Our Summer Serve & Splash Club is an afternoon program designed for 8-to-14 year olds combining tennis and recreational swimming. The program starts at 12:30 with a group tennis lesson led by one of our tennis pros followed by a refreshing dip in the pool with a member of our Aquatic Staff. For those who wish to stay until 6 pm we’ll provide a variety of fun games to keep them active and entertained.
The mid-day Summer Mad Lunch Club program (from noon until 1:30 pm) offers lunch on our shaded deck among friends. Children may bring their own lunch, or choose our bag lunch. There will be pizza on Fun Friday. The kids will play games and do crafts with MRSC staff.
Our MADMarlins Indoor Spring Stroke Clinic kicks the summer season season off with two sessions for swimmers who are either interested in competitive swimming for the first time, looking to stay in shape, or want a competitive experience with a little less of a commitment.
The MADMarlins Outdoor Summer Program is the perfect way to expose your child to competitive swimming for the first time or a great way to re-energize your competitive swimmer with this sprint based league.
Our USTA Youth Tennis Clinics make it easy and fun for younger players to be introduced to and learn the game. The courts, racquets. and nets have been resized and the balls in different colors have been designed for each level of play.
The MSRC Summer Junior Team Development Program is designed for intermediate and advanced intermediate players. This 10-week program uses clinics, drills, supervised play, and matches against other clubs and USTA CT Junior Teams to rapidly improve skills and advance the level of play.
